The app's name is our English translation of the Japanese title, and the in-game text may be Japanese or English.

Key points

  • A horror game where the car drives itself and all you do is watch the road ahead and the rearview mirror and choose left or right at forks
  • "If you see it, go the other way." If you saw an anomaly, go opposite the sign; if you saw nothing, follow it
  • Nearly 30 kinds of anomalies, five courses, a few minutes per run
  • App Store age rating 12+ (frequent/intense horror)

What kind of game is it?

You're driving along a night road. The car moves on its own. What you do is keep watching the road ahead and the rearview mirror. And when a fork comes, you choose left or right. That's all.

How to play: "If you see it, go the other way"

A sign stands before each fork, pointing to only one road.

On a night when something is wrong, the sign lies. The wrong road is blocked by a barrier, and beyond it, if you crash through, is a cliff. If you hesitate and choose nothing, the car drifts into the middle of the road and slams into the dividing stone.

Scenery or anomaly?

Mixed in with ordinary night scenery such as vending machines, bus stops, roadside statues, curve mirrors and cats and deer crossing the road, nearly 30 kinds of anomalies appear. They show up not only ahead but also in the trees at the side, the tunnel ceiling and inside the rearview mirror. You can long-press the mirror to look closer. What you should be looking at is usually behind you.

Five courses

Each time you run through one course, the next opens. If you fall off a cliff, it reveals what you missed in that section.

What to check before buying

Note: check the store page before purchase for whether there are in-app purchases and what they are.

Who it's for, and who it isn't
